Lung cancer stage 4 with BRAF v600 mutation

Does anybody have this variation of lung cancer. Or have a family in a similar situation? It’s very rare and I’m 16 months post diagnosis taking targeted therapy for past 14 months. Pills have held cancer growth stable until now. Trying to find a fellow person in similar situation but when only 2-4% world population have this rare condition it has proven almost impossible. I am a 59 year old mother/grandmother, full time teacher and was living a normal life in Gibraltar a small British overseas country (near Spain) until recently. I’m a Non smoker and fit and healthy until I started a croaky voice 16 months ago leading to where we are today. I have been on a couple of UK forums but no response to discussion. My oncologist and team suggested a wider platform. Decided to try a world wide option due to rare mutation, thank you for taking out of your day to read this.

  1. Thank you for starting this thread! I truly hope it helps you find someone else out there with this variation. There are some people here who are also going through other rare mutations, who might be able to relate to your story. Sending my thoughts to you today!
