My Story of Chemo Fatigue and 12-Year Recovery Journey
I remember when I was going through simultaneous chemo and radiation, I would get so tired that I would just shake. My arms and legs hardly even worked, and my whole body would just shake until I fell asleep. This was daily occurrence for probably a month. I also had continuous nausea. I rarely had days that I felt even okay.
Twelve years later
I am so happy to be NED for nearly 12 years! I still get tired more quickly than I did pre-NSCLC, but I remember and sympathize with the struggle vividly.
A message of encouragement
Take care of yourself and never feel guilty about not feeling well - you are not well yet!
