More surgery
I had my routine ct scan and am having a 7.7 lung nodule removed. This will be my 4th lung surgery in 5 years. 2 early lung cancers and 2 false alarms scar tissue. I am 71 and in decent shape to have another surgery. Has anyone else dealt with this??? 😊
I had my entire left lung removed 12 yrs ago. Thank God no other surgeries after that one. Best of luck to you moving forward.
I actually had 4 lung cancer surgeries in 2025.
July, sept, Nov and very end of Dec 2025!
Had a Vats, a biopsy of some sort, a segmentectomy, and a right top lobectomy last. Robot couldn't close due to closeness of lung artery so they also did a thoracotomy. Came out with 2 chest tubes and a nice big scar 🙂 But I just did a follow up CT and nothing of concern. I'll repeat in 3 months. I am 62.
Wishing you the best! They think they got all of mine but said they (tumors) could pop up again from time to time. Will cross that bridge when and if it happens.

I had a right lower lobectomy in July 2020, and just after I hit my 5 year clear mark they found another nodule in my lower left lung. In October 2025 had a wedge section removed as the biopsy confirmed no lymph nodes were impacted. Were the false alarm scar tissues done as biopsies?
