Stable tiny right lung nodules

What will I do?
Results from my CT chest high resolution
I have asthma and history of covid pneumonia last 2020.

  1. Hi , I believe I responded to this question on another page and posted some links for you, did you see them? My suggestion was to speak with your pulmonolgist about a PET scan, asthma and covid can leave scarring and tiny nodules, a PET scan may be able to determine more. I think you said your pulmonogist appointment is this week or next? He/She should be able to shed some light on the situation and tell you what your next steps should be. Please update us when you know. Thinking of you! Warmly, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Health Leader

    1. I have COPD and asthma and had several tiny nodules that were being monitored regularly.
I received my Covid vaccinations, boosters and even an infusion per my Pulmonologist and still kept getting COVID/(4) times and Pneumonia which interfered with a timely and proper diagnosis of my now non operable or curable, Stage 3-Small Cell Carcinoma/Lung Cancer that within 2 months of diagnoses had already spread to my brain and now they're scanning my hip and femur.

  2. Hi, Just piggybacking here... how is everything going? Wishing you the very best!

    1. Hi, I just had Covid this past week and now have viral pneumonia. I’m on Prednisone now. 3 days in. I had a Lobectomy on my upper left Lobe. I have tiny nodules on my lower lobe. I’m still coughing and with phelm. Can Covid bring on Lung Cancer? The symptoms I’m having now are just like what I had when I was first diagnosed. Initially, Dr. thought I had pneumonia. That same day I asked for a chest x ray. Then…. It was discovered I had a mass.

      1. Hi I am so sorry you caught Covid and now have pneumonia, hoping that resolves for you soon! The residuals of covid can leave nodules and can cause cough and phlem. I read an article a while ago, but don't remember from where, that there are studies to see if covid can cause existing lung nodules to grow, I don't think the study is complete, but I have many friends in the lung cancer community that have had covid and still have no evidence of disease.I would ask my pulmonologist or thoracic surgeon that question and hopefully ease your mind.

I saw your other post that said you had your lobectomy in 2017. How often are you being monitored with CT scans now? ~ Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader

    2. I forgot to mention my Lobectomy was in November 17th 2017
