What to expect?

CT scan found a 2.2 cm mass in upper left lobe this past Friday (Jan 22). 1st visit with oncologist is this Tue (Jan 25). I found many wonderful resources on the 'net (including some lung cancer forums).
As a 69 yr old newbie, just wondering what to ask / expect - and I'll be immensely grateful for any comments.

  1. Hi . Sorry to hear about the diagnosis, but glad you are finding places you can get information and support. I want to share with you this previous forum on our site concerning what every newly diagnosed person should know about lung cancer: https://lungcancer.net/forums/newly-diagnosed. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences. Wishing you the best and please feel free to keep us posted on how you are doing and to ask additional questions. Richard (LungCancer.net Team)

    1. I'm glad you found some lung cancer forums, they have been a wealth of information and support for me and should be for you, too. Have you looked at lungevity.org/virtualmeetups? There's quite a few zoom support groups to choose from. Wishing you the best, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team

      1. Zoom ?? Wow ... many thanks

        1. Yep Wendell, this is one of few where the technology works nicely and comfortably from our homes. Best!

      2. Diagnosed in July, 4 rounds chemo + immunotherapy and tumour still grew
Lungs too damaged for radiation or another biopsy (smoking funny things 60 years)
Copd ahsma cystic fibrosis emphasyma and some.
Immunotherapy can be tweeked but not covered by ins, gov or private, when what should've given best results didn't work at all
What do I do now, get some good heroin for a short cut outta here or what's the best way out?
Respiration failure sounds good, fall asleep and don't wake up or will that need morphine help?
Not worried about dying, we all do some day and at 69 i'm closer to end of road than start of it.
