  1. I live in Florida and have stage 3 lung cancer. I recently finished up chemo and radiation. Will be discussing the start up of immunotherapy on Tuesday at my oncologist appointment.

    1. , I was diagnosed Stage 3B 5 years 1 month and 14 days ago. I did radiation and chemo then followed with a year of Imfinzi immunotherapy and I've been stable and still showing some shrinkage since treatment. Good luck with your new treatment plan.

    2. Thank you for sharing and wonderful news that your condition is stable! Wishing you all the very best!

  3. I was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer about 10 weeks ago. Was told that I would be given infusions of chemo and immuno therapies via an IV every 3 weeks. Takes about 4 hours of being infused. Except for fatigue at times and the inability to more than 2-3 hours sleep every night, the situation so far has not been too bad so far.

    1. I am so glad the side effects have not been terrible. I am sending over this article with tips for fatigue: https://lungcancer.net/living/tips-for-managing-cancer-fatigue and sleep: https://lungcancer.net/living/sleep-troubles. I hope these are helpful for you. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling. Sending you lots of strength. Jill, lungcancer.net team

  4. Hi. I am new here.
My name is Dorean and I have been cancer free from Stage 4 lung cancer since April, 2023 after God blessed me with a miracle.
I was diagnosed in October, 2018 and had my first immunotherapy with Keytruda in November, 2018.
In August, 2019 a CT scan showed I had breast cancer and the lung cancer had its last hooray and metastized into my left groin and in 2 lymphnodes in my right armpit.
On October 31, 2019 I had a lumpectomy and started on Anastrizole (sp?). I took that for 6 years.
For 19 months I had immunotherapy for the lung cancer. After 19 months the cancer mutated into something that wasn't compatible with Keytruda and started chemotherapy.
I had chemotherapy for 29 months which ended in November, 2022 when there was only 1.2cm left in my upper right lobe (it started out at 9x4x6mm in my upper right lobe).
In early January, 2023 I had 5 treatments of pin-point radiation and learned in April, 2023 God blessed me with a miracle leaving me cancer free.
Since then I was scanned in July, October 2023, January July, 2024, January, November, 2025 and nothing has changed, thank God.
I opted to keep my port because I am a bit superstitious so I go in every 6 weeks to have it flushed.
Well, that's me. 🫠 God bless all of you.

    1. I'm glad you found us! Thank you for sharing a bit of your story! That is wonderful that you are NED! I completely get wanting to keep the port. I have auperstitions about things like that - I consider that insurance, and foolish to ignore, lol.. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
