Heart rate after surgery

My heart rate is always between 67 to 70 I just had a lobectomy and my heart rate is 92 is this normal

  1. The lumpectomy was due to lung cancer

    1. Hello, I believe that would be a question for your doctor, but I can say that I have read that heart rates should be between 60-100 depending on age and activity, but I don't really know enough about it, best to hear from your medical care team. I had a lobectomy in 2000 and a wedge resection in 2021, the advances between my two surgeries have been amazing. When was your lobectomy and how are you doing? Were you staged yet and did your doctor send your tumor tissue out for mutation/biomarker testing to help formulate a treatment plan? Please feel free to share more, we are here to support one another. Wishing you all the best, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader

      1. My lobectomy was done June 12th, only 6 days ago so it is early days, my heart rate has been in the high 70s I think it’s because I have to use a lot more energy to breath , I just don’t know what to expect, I have never had surgery or been compromised in any way, 71 years old without an ailment

        1. I also wonder how is doing, thank you for asking. Wishing you the very best with your upcoming lobectomy, please update us when you get a chance, we are here for you! Warmly, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader
