Hi-
Has anyone had trouble eating after a left lower lobectomy? My esophagus is not emptying fast enough leading to a very full feeling after eating.
Any suggestions to help the feeling of fullness?
Thanks

Hi . The issue you are discussing, dysphagia, can occur for a number of reasons associated with lung cancer and the treatments. This article from our editorial team discusses it, along with some of the methods used to manage/treat it: https://lungcancer.net/symptoms/difficulty-swallowing. Has your doctor made any treatment recommendations in your case? Hoping you get some answers and relief soon. Best, Richard (LungCancer.net Team)

Hi Richard Thanks for replying. I did tell them. I have had a hiatal hernia for 25 years and had reflux bc of it. My hiatal hernia is pulling into the space where my lung is- so we know the problem. The nurse practitioner in my practice told me I had to get used to my new body. No lie. So I’m trying. Thanks for the info. I’ll check it out now. I appreciate it.
