Stopping treatment

Hi,

My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer back in June 2019. It has spread to his lymph nodes and to his adrenal glands. He has been receiving triple treatment, starting off with pemetrexed, pembrolizumab and carboplatin. He had 4 doses of this then went onto the maintenance dose of just the pemetrexed and pembrolizumab. He had his 12th treatment cycle a few weeks ago and reacted very badly to it, resulting in him deciding he doesn't want to continue with treatment anymore. I completely understand his decision and stand by him 100%.
i just want to know what I should expect now and hear about other people's experiences with this please?

  1. Hi Donna, I did not have that experience, but I would like to welcome you to our forum and tell you how sorry I am to hear your husband had such a rough time with his last treatment. If you haven't visited our facebook page, you may want to post this message there also. I have attached the link. Sending you both peace and best wishes. Warmly, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team
