what is happening

My husband had his first year CT. It has been a year since his radiation. They said he had some inflammation in his lung and gave him a huge round of Prednisone. Since he started taking it he has felt really bad. What is happening here and has anyone else had this to happen? I know he had inflammation right after radiation and thought after all this time it would be gone.

  1. I'm sorry to hear your husband still has inflammation after his radiation treatments. Has he had this issue since his treatment a year ago? I don't know much about prednisone, but I hope others here who have had it chime in with their experiences. In the meantime, many of our community members have written articles about prednisone, I'm attaching a link below to the our page with those articles. Hope you find some useful information. Wishing you and your husband all the best, please reach out anytime, we are here for you both. Warmly, Alisa, LungCancer Team Patient Leader

    1. Sorry to hear of your husband's bout with side effects. Sometimes you just don't know how certain meds are going to react. Please go over your concerns with your husband's doctor, so that there's clarity as to what is expected or not. Wishing you all the very best!
