Scanxiety Blues

Scanxiety is when there's a heightened level of stress pre-scan or awaiting scan results. How would you describe your emotions when waiting for CT scans or other results? What action word describes your feelings in a lumpsome?

Fidgety

  1. Scanxious (I just made that word up, but it fits)

    1. Love it! 😀

  2. I don't get uptight about it. Not at all, really. I prepare myself to accept and deal with the outcome . It must be due to my years in the courtroom as a trial attorney.

    1. I am glad to hear you can do this. Wishing you all the best. Jill (team member)

    2. Yes, perhaps being a trial attorney helps with processing it all. It's good you have this type of backup as many don't. Thank you for sharing 😀
      Wishing you the very best!

  3. I have had so many scans and my results were always the same...yes, you have cancer. I have to say I am rather numb to the news anymore. Been dealing with cancer in my body in different areas for the past 25 years or more. Seems strange, but I am used to being told "You have cancer". I just accept the news and say what's the next step....when's the surgery? Acceptance is my only saving grace.

    1. having the ability to accept the cards you are dealt, is a huge deal. I am so glad to hear you are able to do this and move onto the next step. Thank you for sharing with us. Sending you strength. Jill (Team Member)

    2. Accepting and moving forward says a lot. I hope you're doing well today as 25 years in as a survivor. Wishing you all the very best!
