Numb From My Journey With Lung Cancer

Aug 3rd, 2022 I got the big C word... Cancer! August 16th I had surgery and they take a 3rd of my lung out! 3 days in ICU... August 23rd I started treatments... I'm numb from it all, but I have a journey and I will get through it. I thank God, each day for life & for healing me from this.
Anyone else feeling similar?

  1. Yes, I feel the same! I had a lobectomy 22 years ago and then chemo treatments and a wedge resection of another lobe last year. It is an overwhelming numbing experience, but I am so grateful to still be here! Wishing you all the best, Alisa, LungCancer Team Patient Leader

    1. Hi . You definitely are not alone. A number of our contributors have written articles with thoughts for the newly diagnosed. I want to share with you a search of our archive on the topic, so you can peruse the articles at your convenience: https://lungcancer.net/search?s=newly%20diagnosed. Please feel free, if you like, to keep us posted on how you are doing. This community is here for you. Best, Richard (LungCancer.net Team)
