CT Guided Biopsy experiences please

Hi all! 52 YO female here. Just recently stumbled upon the fact that I have an 8mm lower right lung mass. Both CT and PET scans show significant concerns for malignancy so I’m scheduled for a CT guided lung biopsy next week. I’m an information person. That’s what helps my anxiety. I’d love to hear full details of your CT needle biopsy, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Details like pain or pressure levels, complications or no complications. I’ve found a few stories on this forum but not many.
If you ended up with a chest tube a you please describe that experience as well. Even if it’s not great, I’m the kind of person if I go in prepared for what it could be like my mind is much more prepared and my anxiety decreases regardless of outcome.

Thank you!

  2. Hi Runner Kim!
I've had two needle biopsies. The first one was great in the sense there were no complications or real negative side effects. The second one went okay, but I recall some wheezing that I didn't have prior to the biopsy. Also a tiny bit of hoarseness. I'd have them done again, as the information collected was very important to my diagnosis and treatment.
