Biopsy results

I spoke with my pulmonologist today , all testing leading up to surgery indicted cancer. Good news is it wasn't cancer , it was a form of pneumonia that would have caused issues had it not been removed.
My biggest complaint 3 weeks after surgery is a persistent cough

  1. Great to hear it turned out to be benign! May I ask what tests indicated cancer when it wasn't? Did you have a biopsy or did they think it was cancer from looking at a CT or PET scan? I'm sorry you have a persistent cough, I had one for about a month after surgery, so you may need a little more time. I would suggest letting your medical care team know, they may have something to help clear the cough quicker. Please feel free to keep us posted. All the best, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team
