My dad aged 64 has been diagnosed with dedifferentiated metastatic chondrosarcoma in his right thigh bone femur.
Options after metastasis
After biopsy, it has metastasized to lungs size (1.8 cm x 1.4 cm) and femoral inguinal lymph nodes within 20 days. Three days ago his bone with tumor (femur) fractured and now we are left with two options, either rod insertion or amputation.
With rod, chemotherapy won't be possible until the muscle heals properly. Along with that, he has a persistent high BP 165/110 high pulse 118. On ECHO he has Little pericardial effusion and hypokinesia with only 35% ejection fraction. We are only left with the option of amputation as the rod insertion will spread it further to other organs.
Suggest me what should we do?
