On December 29, 2020, I was taken to hospital in a diabetic coma. I was admitted and found out that stage 1 cancer right lower lobe lung.

I took the cyberknife for treatment 5 at 1-hour sessions. The last PET scan showed a smaller tumor and go for a CT scan in December. I have never had any pain but do get so tired at times. I hope the scan this month is good.

Hair loss from radiation

 <inline-mention username="CommunityMember6f7805" user-id="6643153"/> Unfortunately that can be a common side effect. I lost all my hair while undergoing my chemo treatments. Took a while to grow back, but it did. Hope it does for you soon! All the best, Alisa

I also want to tell you about a friend I worked with a NASA (one of those people who can truly be labeled a scientific genius). He was surprisingly diagnosed with lung cancer before 50. I always remember him commenting when he started losing his hair that it made him feel better because it was a sign that the treatment was having an impact.
