One day at a time

Woke up one morning in Sept 2020 and could barely walk... For 6 months the only thing I knew is that I had some unknown immune disorder. After all kinds of doctors and hospitals that couldn't and wouldn't help, I spent 10 minutes with a doctor at Ohio State University and was sent for an immediate x-ray and discovered that I have limited SCLC.

My current status

To date, I've had 4 rounds of chemotherapy and 30 radiation treatments. What a difference this has made! The immune disorder as well as horrible constant pain is gone. Today I feel great. Not going to fool myself about my prognosis. If I can get another pain-free year I'll feel fortunate. Just discovered that I have a small non-small cell tumor in my good lung but it's early and we're hoping a bit of radiation will kill it.
