What went wrong?
My husband went to the doctor for his knee pain, I stayed at home because it was not a big deal. 3 hours went by and I am beginning to worry. It wasn't long I heard him pull up. He has the oddest look on his face he looks at me and says I have stage 3 lung cancer. I didn't believe him at first, then I realized he was serious, my world ended right then and there, I've been in a state of shock ever since.
I am sorry to hear your husband was diagnosed with lung cancer. I know how scary and overwhelming the diagnosis can be and how shocking to hear those words. I also went to the doctor for knee pain, for a year I was sent home told to take ibuprofen. Finally I was sent for an xray and then CT, PET, etc. and found out I was Stage 3b. That was 22 years ago. I'm still here, but with some bumps along the way. Does your husband's medical care team have a treatment plan in place for him?
