What do I do? Small Cell Lung Cancer. 32yr old.

Is there anything I can take that can slow the spread of the cancer? Anything specific I should eat? Supplements to take? Any Dr. Articles that can help? My cancer spreads fast. According to internet it’s a 5 year survival rate. Just want to have my best chance at survival. Immunotherapy obviously did not work, I’m currently in my 2nd round of chemo. The cancer has almost went away but I know it will come back. It did didn’t stay gone long at all last time. Let me know thanks!!!

  1. sorry that you have sclc and this problems.
What were your first symptoms and what stage was it when diagnosed?

    1. I agree that there are supplements and botanicals that help our immune system and lung health. Unfortunately we are not allowed to offer any type of advice that can be construed as medical advice. Most of the moderators, including myself, are lung cancer patient/survivors. I believe in integrative care and when I was first diagnosed 22 years ago, I was lucky to find a great integrative doctor that put together an anti-lung cancer protocol (I live in NYC) for me One must be careful though to not take anything that can interfere with their cancer treatment, so best to be guided. Is there an Integrative Oncology Center near you? Kindly, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader

      1. Cancer and this particular one can be such a complex situation. It never hurts to review options for integrative along with your current treatment. I would suggest having a transparent discussion with your doctor. If you haven't already, perhaps speak with your medical team in setting you up with a dietician and see if you can also have clearance to work with a fitness trainer. It's the small steps in being mindful as you make room to be healthier despite the circumstances. Wishing you the very best!

        1. I had 10 weeks of chemo in 2020 and 10 rounds of radiation to the brain. I do immune therapy every 21days. Since getting ready for a pet scan next week. I don't Google anymore about prognosis anymore I put it in God's hands. Praying 🙏 for you.

          1. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming PET scan. Please feel free to update, we are here to share and support one another. Warmly, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader
