How do you wait for results without going out of your mind?

I seem to always have to make numerous phone calls to get answers. Waiting for returned calls makes me extremely anxious. I do realize I am not the Drs only patient but in this business there needs to be more empathy. I know if I were the Drs wife or daughter I would get my answers immediately.

    1. Hi , that is incredibly frustrating. I think it is the medical industry. It's just business for them, and for us and our loved ones, it's life. Has communication improved as you have continued on the journey? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

      1. I know for myself waiting to find out more like getting a biopsy and about when my surgery or treatment is starting is very difficult especially knowing you have something growing inside of you that could spread in the month's of waiting . Luckily i got a call from someone that said she was my nurse navigator i think she said and she helped a tremendous amount because before i felt i was completely in the dark and knew absolutely nothing.
        Wish you well.

      2. , I'm so glad to hear that you were assigned a navigator/case manager. It is so helpful to have someone who can help with questions and coordinating appointments, meds and care. Did she set up a follow-up call with you? Please keep in touch and let us know how you're doing. - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)
