doing well

First of all I want to say that we were blessed to have a super pulmonologist. He wasted no time in the "we will watch it" routine. As soon as it was even remotely big enough for a biopsy it was done. That is how it was caught at a stage 1. Within a few days we had a visit with the cancer doctor who explained my husband's options and advised a strong targeted regimen of radiation.
It began on June 17,2021 and ended on July 1, 2021. The result was only a scar was left. My husband never had any bad side effects or ever got sick. He has carried on just like he never had a problem.
Now we are going back next week for a follow up PET scan. I will let you know what the results are.
Good doctors like the ones we had are worth their weight in gold.

  1. Hi . Yes, doctors who are aggressive in getting a diagnosis and treatment in the early stages are worth their weight in gold. Wishing your husband the best with the upcoming scan and thank you for sharing. Best, Richard (LungCancer.net Team)

    1. That is fantastic to hear that your husband's cancer was caught so early and all is well. You are right, good doctors are worth a lot! Will be looking for that post-scan update! Warmly, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team
