Happiness and Lung Cancer

What are some ways that you have found happiness in your lung cancer journey?

  1. Stick with your cancer diet, and if you have no such thing get one pronto.

Can you share what your Cancer Diet is? I spoke with a nutritionist who is part of my doctor's group, and she only recommended the Mediterranean Diet. I want to eat the best combo of foods to help my body fight this disease!!

    2. while we wait to see if other community members chime in with their diet and nutrition plans, I thought these articles might be helpful for you: https://lungcancer.net/living/treatment-healthy-diet and https://lungcancer.net/living/dietitian-consultation Best, Sam S. (team member).

  2. Cancer has an uncanny way of revealing who your true friends are. Treasure them, and unobtrusively show your gratitude.

  3. Being active has made me happy, after going through those first few months of being sick and inactive. After enduring a hurricane, I had no choice but to clean up the debris on my property. That was the catalyst for becoming active again. I found happiness in watering the lawn, clearing leaves and restoration of my property.
I also found that swimming in the pool (not the ocean!) was relaxing and helped my lungs health. Being in the water feels great, maybe because I am a Pisces. Do what makes you feel good and keep moving!

    1. this is such a great post and reminder to keep busy and find movement that feels good for our body. Thanks for sharing. Jill (Team Member)
