Remembering Jeffrey Poehlmann

We were incredibly saddened to hear of the passing of lungcancer.net contributor Jeffrey Poehlmann on October 21, 2018. Jeffrey had been living with stage IV lung cancer for the past 4 years and was an active advocate, sharing so much of his journey with the community. He will be remembered and missed by all who knew him, and all who read his writings.

Read more about Jeffrey here and join us in remembering him by sharing any memories below.

  1. Hearing of Jeffrey’s passing has saddened me and makes my heart ache for his family. I very much so enjoyed reading Jeffrey’s writings—I could really feel his genuine optimism yet realism through his words. In fact, his articles are the ones I love the most to share with other community members. Although I can’t help but now feel a hole in this wonderful community, I know his spirit and inspirations will continue to live on through the words, stories, encouragements, and emotions he shared with us all.
    Rest In Peace, Jeffery.
    Thoughts and prayers,
    Christina, moderator, lungcancer.net Team

    1. Jeffrey was an amazing advocate. I hope he knew how much his vulnerability and openness to sharing his experiences helped others in the community. I know I can speak on behalf of so many when I say we will miss him terribly. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
