Chest X-Rays

My work company used to do chest x-rays on an annual basis. This was stopped. After about 3 years I realized I hadn’t had one. I asked my doctor to get one and it turned out to be a problem. Later I had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in my lung. It has now been twelve years and I am still cancer free. My advice to people as the most important thing to keep up with are at least annual chest x-rays as the first step in recognizing something may be wrong. I wish I had done it sooner. It may have made it easier.

Hi cejs99, thank you for sharing your story with us. It is important to have at least annual check ups and not wait too long if we feel like something isn’t right. So glad to hear that you are still cancer free. It definitely gives hope to others. Best, Noel LungCancer.net Team
