My Brother

My brother's diagnosis and advocacy

My brother, Don Stranathan, was diagnosed 10 years ago with stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer. Over the years Don has become a tireless advocate for lung cancer awareness. I was so amazed by his knowledge level and by all of the social media support he had around lung cancer.

Meeting other advocates

At his 10-year "cancerversary" party this summer I was able to meet some of the other lung cancer warriors. I decided that I needed to become a lung cancer advocate to help bring awareness to lung cancer as well as radon. LungCancer.net is one of many great organizations helping empower survivors and their families. Thank you!
