A Request for the Community

Last updated: February 2022

In 2018, I submitted an in-depth synopsis of my lung cancer story, but I didn't want to continue that story which spans about the first year and 10 months of my journey. However, if you'd like to read more, you can click the button below. My Story

From 2018 to 2022

Since then, I've been mostly stable with slight progression. I haven't had treatment for the past 20 months but that is about to end.

I now have consistent progression with a smattering of nodes and growing tumors in both lungs. Also, found a little guy sitting in my liver so we have spread. Ugh! Still relatively small (not tiny) but time to do something about all this.

Background information on my diagnosis

As background, diagnosed in late 2017 and started in 2018 with big chemo, then maint chemo, then radiation + chemo, then immunotherapy (Imfinzi) and have been on break for the last 20 months (it's been great).

Now the suggested drug du jour is Opdivo + Yervoy, then after 3 sessions just Opdivo.

A call for help for the community

So I am asking you kind and compassionate people to share your Optivo stories with me so I can get a glimpse of what I am about the experience. I notice there is not a lot of activity here lately but I have found positivity in reading stories and replies. Love and peace everyone!
