A person tipping over a bar graph with the words "Statistics don't tell our lung cancer stories"

Lung Cancer Awareness Month 2021

Myth: Lung cancer has a poor prognosis.
Fact: The prognosis, or forecast of the disease, is unique to every person with lung cancer. These numbers can be distressing, but statistics do not necessarily predict what will happen to an individual.

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month (LCAM). This month we are celebrating lung cancer awareness by sharing data and statistics while also highlighting community advocacy efforts. No two journeys are exactly alike, and the more we share about our lives the more awareness we will bring.

Your voice matters

What has your lung cancer journey and experience been like? How has your life changed or stayed the same since your or a loved one's diagnosis? Throughout the month, we will have many opportunities for you to share your perspective of your lung cancer journey. We will have many engagement opportunities like the below fill-in-the-blank prompt, weekly Friday forums, and more as a way to highlight all of the voices within the LungCancer.net community.

"I won't let my lung cancer get in the way of_________."

Share your story

Statistics do not tell the entire lung cancer story. Whether you are living with lung cancer, in remission, or caring for a loved one with lung cancer, your story is worth sharing. Spread awareness and make an impact on the lung cancer community by sharing your story.
