Has anyone had to switch immunotherapies if one did not work?

I’m stage 4 nsclc. The cancer has stayed mostly in my right lung and a little in my left.

I have had 8 monthly infusions of Opdivo and my ct scan has shown that my tumor has grown 10%. A small lesion showed up on my kidney too. Having a needle biopsy soon.

If it is cancer then this could mean progression of my lung cancer.

  1. Hi , keep us updated after your needle biopsy - hopefully you and your care team will be able to come up with next steps. I have heard from some community members and advocates about treatment changes after growth after some time on an immunotherapy (ex https://lungcancer.net/living/rise-challenge-carry/), as far as switching, in addition to any comments from the community here, we always recommend checking in with one's care team for more individualized recommendations, options, and information. Thinking of you. Warmly, Margot, LungCancer.net Team
