Is there anyone whose loved one won't eat or drink?

My brother has stage 4 lung cancer. He did radiation, one aggressive round of chemo. Horrible issues going on, fluid drain from lung daily, fluid around stomach and around heart, blood clots, coughing up blood. They will not due anymore chemo due to his very poor health. He will not eat or drink enough to get his strength up. What can we do? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

  1. I see that Alisa responded to you elsewhere on the site with this link that may be helpful: https://lungcancer.net/treatment-side-effects-appetite-taste-changes This one may help as well: https://lungcancer.net/coping/eating-tips-during-treatment He may also like smoothies or juices in small doses. Have you or he spoken to his doctor about what to do about nutrition? They may have some recommendations or suggestions as well, or may be able to refer to a nutritionist who may. Please keep us updated. Thinking of you both. Warmly, Margot, Team Member
