Anxiety after diagnosis?

I have had a lobectomy on my lower left lung. At first it was thought to not be cancerous. After removal, it was determined to be cancerous. So I went from it’s nothing to OMG it’s cancer, but don’t panic it’s out. So how does one NOT panic and have anxiety attacks? I have another spot that is being monitored. I want it out now! But I am scared to death that this will be cancer too. How does one deal with this?

  1. Hi

    1. Hi , I also had a lobectomy, my right middle lobe, 19 years ago and was staged 3 non-small cell adenocarcinoma lung cancer. I've had nodules show up shortly after that are being watched. Minimal changes. I have still have scanxiety after all this time, but am much more optimistic now, with so many advances. I wish I could rewind and not have stressed so much all these past years, but it's hard. I understand how you feel. Please feel free to reach out anytime. Warmly, Alisa
