"Sixteen months ago, on a Saturday morning I was on the way to see one of my dearest friends in the hospital. Unbeknownst to me it would be the last time i would see her here on earth. Within fifteen minutes of arriving I became extremely ill and felt as though I was going to throw up and pass out. I was rushed to the ER because it was thought I was having a stroke. After two CT scans they did a chest x-ray and found "something" in my left lung. Kaiser scheduled me for an MRI in which they found a one inch in diameter mass. Needless to say, it was cancer. Things happened so quickly that it was obvious God's hand was at work. It was discovered on August 4, 2017 and it was surgically removed on September 13, 2017. I'm scheduled for my two year scan in March. The wonderful thing is that no matter what that scan shows, I know I'm safe because whether I stay here in my temporary home or go to my real home, I'm in the arms of God. I want to tell all you warriors to keep up the fight and know that you are loved. God Bless and Merry Christmas!"
