"I wanted to share my story thus far with all of you. I was diagnosed with stage 3a inoperable nsclc on Good Friday of this year. What a pill to swallow. I took a deep breath asking my Doctor if this was a death sentence. He responded by saying, I didn’t say that! He then said We will get you to remission. I had 35 targeted radiation therapies and 9 chemo infusions. At the end of July I had a Pet Scan and of course tried to r as the technicians reaction as she checked my scan and set me free. Wishful thinking I could read what the results might have been. The following day I met with my Doctor who told me there was now no evidence of disease and I am in complete remission. My response, no way Jose! Utter amazement. I still can’t believe the results. I still wake up in a panic mode. I am having Imfinzi infusions now every two weeks. Doctor said about a year of this and then we see if it has kept the cancer at bay. I will have another scan in two months to make sure things are going the way they are intended. Yes I lost my hair, but that was ok with me if I was going to live. I have peach fuzz now. I have had my bad days but I have never experienced what I would call side effects. I did the things I had to for myself. Yes I use CBD oil, I eat correctly, I exercise and most importantly I have kept a positive and happy outlook. I remain strong. I did have sessions with a Shaman as well. I believe it is all of these things that brought me to remission. I did what I had to do for myself. Others may laugh and I understand. As I said I have done things for me. So remember as you fight the battle of your life, be positive, smile and carry on by keeping the faith all will work out and we will live long productive lives.
