"Today is "World Lung Cancer Day" Lung Cancer kills more people than breast, colon and prostate cancer COMBINED. Lung Cancer is under funded. Prediction is in the year 2020 lung cancer will be the largest cause of death exceeding heart problems. Lung cancer is caused by many things although many people want to blame "us" because we smoked prior to our diagnosis. Children get lung cancer recently we lost a child that was diagnosed with lung cancer at 9, (no second-hand smoke) she fought for 11 years and finally the disease took her. Air quality, exposure to radon, exposure to asbestos are a few of the causes. Support those that are fighting the disease it is not a one time thing because when we fight we are fighting for our life everyday. "We" like to know there is an army behind us pushing us to the cure, loving us while we are down and giving us hope everyday. To my cronies that are in this with me, lung cancer sucks but we have to continue to fight. My love to those who are fighting and those who have lost loved ones. #Weneedacure.
