"Up at three after chemo treatment yesterday"

  1. @Bradley hip I've heard that steroids are given with certain treatments and that it can interfere with sleep. Did you have steroids? How are you feeling otherwise? Warmly, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team

  2. Hi Alisa not sure if my reply went through just now as this is my first time.
No at this time I have not taken steroids and is not part of my future plan.I like every one else feel fatigued and now have developed neropathy of my feet which they are monitoring closely because if left unchecked with the chemo I am taking it can become permanent .chemo brain is slow present which my wife can attest to.I find that if I am not active during the day and keep my body busy I don’t sleep at night so I try and walk a minimum of two miles a day do yard work etc.And now that I am retired and my wife is still working I do a lot of the house work but enjoying every minute of retirement.
How are you feeling and doing
    Thanks for the reply
    Gary

  3. Walking is great, I have to push myself more. I also had chemo treatments. I was diagnosed with Stage 3b, 21 years ago. That cancer never came back. I continued to have nodules in my right upper lobe (my middle lobe was removed before the chemo treatments), monitored with CT scans when all of a sudden a new nodule popped up in my left lung, a new primary, and just had it surgically removed and am recovering. Lucky I was being monitored and it was caught early, Stage 1, so I did not need more chemo like I did with my original diagnosis. I have some neuropathy leftover, a little tingling in my big toes, but that's it. Perhaps you can talk to your doctor about the supplement N-ACETYL CYSTEINE (NAC), it is known to help with neuropathy, but you need to ask your doctor if it will interfere with your treatment. Reach out anytime, we are here to share and support each other. Wishing you the best, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team
