anyway, i cant get dye contrast cause im sensitive.
Thank you for whoever reply/post input.

  1. Perhaps you can get a CT scan without contrast to compliment the MRI. It may be worth a discussion with your doctor. Wishing you all the best, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team

    1. Hi . So sorry to hear that you have issues with the contrast dye. It is true that MRI's are more effective for locating cancer when the contrast dye is used. I did find this article the use of MRI in lung cancer which notes that "Koyama et al reported that non-contrast enhanced pulmonary MRI can effectively detect malignant nodules as thin-section MDCT:" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3473490/. I cannot honestly say if this is of use in your case, but your doctor may be able to provide further information. In addition, I don't know the extent of your reaction, but in some cases when there is a known issue doctors can take preventive action before hand to allow for a test. Wishing you the best and please feel free, if you like to keep us posted on how you are doing. Richard (LungCancer.net Team)

      1. It's probably best to go over these valid concerns with your doctors. They can better address the concerns and see if there's a better option for you that is possibly more effective. Best!
