ROS1 Mutation

I am starting targeted therapy soon & would like to know if anyone has been put on a drug called Rozlytrek (Entrectinib) and if so, how are you responding to it. Are you having any side effects? It is a newer drug and quite a few serious side effects but is supposed to work well on ROS1. Any information would be appreciated.

  1. Hello there, I do not have experience with this drug however, I wanted to wish you the best for a successful response and hopefully, the side effects are not as bad as you are expecting. Please keep us updated as you feel fit. Best, Diane, Lungcancer.net moderator

    1. Hi . I don't have personal experience with this treatment, but I found this research paper which concluded that "Entrectinib is active with durable disease control in patients with ROS1 fusion-positive NSCLC, and is well tolerated with a manageable safety profile, making it amenable to long-term dosing in these patients:" https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31838015/. In addition, I want to share this article from our editorial team which gives an overview of the drug: https://lungcancer.net/medications/rozlytrektm-entrectinib. Each individual responds differently to a drug, but I want to stress the part of the above quote that notes that the drug was found to be generally well tolerated. Hopefully others will chime in with their experiences. Wishing you the best. Richard (LungCancer.net Team)

      1. I have no experience with Rozlytrek, but wanted to wish you the very best. Please reach out anytime and let us know how you are doing, we are here to support, share and lift each other up. Warmly, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team

        1. Thank you! A long road ahead!
