Remembering Don Stranathan

We are incredibly saddened to share that former LungCancer.net team member Don Stranathan passed away on February 1, 2020. Don had been living with stage IV lung cancer since June 2009. He was a force to be reckoned with in the lung cancer community and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. Don's mission and story will continue to inspire and give hope to others in this community.

  1. Don sure was a force to be reckoned with! He was well-versed in most aspects of lung cancer and never turned down an opportunity to help someone and was always advocating. And he was just a really nice guy! He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

    1. I am a Stage 4 lung cancer Warrior from Ontario Canada. It is amazing to know that Don reached out to people all over the world including the Untied States, United Kingdom, Canada etc... He is probably the most well known Lung Cancer advocate known all around the world.. I was diagnosed and devastated with the diagnosis in Dec 2018 and only through him have I had the strength to fight the fight and the will to live... He gave me, as many others HOPE...

        1. Don what a great guy!He always answered my questions and told me what to ask Drs..He was the first Lung Cancer Survivior I spoke with in the beginning of my journey and he gave me so much hope!I will miss you Don..
