Quitting Smoking

Diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer. Received 4 laser radiation treatments. Tumor has shrunk some, but still there. Having a ct scan to show the density, I guess. The problem. I am a smoker since age 16, now 68. Know I need to stop, but it's difficult. I enjoy it. Need a big push, I guess. Need some help with this.

  1. Glad to hear your lung cancer was caught early and that the tumor is shrinking with treatment. Radiation continues to work for a while after the treatments, hoping the tumor will be gone or even smaller on your next scan. I'm sorry you are having trouble quitting smoking, have you reached out to any programs to help? Wishing you strength! Kindly, Alisa, Lung Cancer Team Patient Leader
