I was a smoker for 35 years - how often should I check?

I was a smoker for 35 years I have not smoked for almost 2 years I got a CT and well my question is how often should I check?

  1. Hi ,

Screening recommendations can vary by individual ( https://lungcancer.net/diagnosis/screening ) but often are recommended yearly, though more is being looked at for screening recommendations for men and women. We always recommend checking with your doctor or healthcare team for individual recommendations - how did the CT go? Hope this information helps!

    Thinking of you.

    1. Hi , I wanted to check with you and see how your scan went, and how often you have decided (with your healthcare team) to recheck. How are you doing today? - Warmly, Donna (Team Member)

      1. I have been newly diagnosed with NSCLC. I caught it at stage one. I also smoked for about 35 Years. I quit about 22 years ago. Keep up with the CT scans especially yearly as you grow older. Annual CT scans have given me my life
