Androgen deprivation?

My Oncologist told me I have or need androgen deprivation - I think this was discovered on the biopsy report, anyone know something about this? -Lanny

  1. Hi , I have not heard of that therapy for lungs, were you diagnosed with primary lung cancer? Kindly, Alisa, LungCancer.net Team

    1. Alisa I had Salvery duct carcinoma in 2018
had Chemo & Radiation n 2019 now it is in
the lymph nodes in my neck & right lung
Had 4 Chemo treatments of Carboplatin
& Paclitaxel feeling sick the past 2 days
pretty sure it’s from the Chemo
My Oncologist said can’t do surgery it is
      Matisize

      1. Hi , I think I understand - you have Salivary duct carcinoma that spread to the lungs? That must be why Androgen Deprivation is not a common term in the lung cancer community as it is not used for primary lung cancer as far as I know. I'm sorry you are not a candidate for surgery. If you have doubts about the treatment proposed, you may want to seek a second opinion if possible. Feel free to keep us posted. Wishing you all the best, Alisa
