Diane Spry
Diane was diagnosed with stage IIIb lung cancer in April 2014 at 30 years old. She presented with chest pains in the emergency room and 5 days later was told that it was cancer. She has EGFR and MET amplification biomarkers. She has undergone numerous treatments including targeted therapy, chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and participated in 2 clinical trials. She is currently on Tarceva.
Diane has written articles for Elephants and Tea, Stupid Cancer, and her personal blog. She focuses on the young adult cancer survivor experience.
Diane lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband, two dogs and one cat. She is forever grateful to her twin, husband, mom, sister, dad, and family for always being by her side.
